WellCollar
Class II disposal wells

Every Class II duty, not just the quarterly report.

Ohio expects a disposal well owner to record pressure and volume every operating day, stay under the permit pressure limit, keep integrity tests current and inspect the facility. WellCollar tracks all of it, then builds the quarterly report and the annual fee from the same records.

  • Daily log and pressure limit
  • MIT and shut-off test calendar

How it works

From the truck to the report

Every number on the report comes from records your crew keeps anyway.

Log each day and each load

Injection pressure, volume, annulus pressure and the wellhead check every operating day, plus the date, hauler, source and barrels of every load received.

Get warned right away

A reading over the permit limit, a lapsed hauler or a test coming due is flagged that day, not at quarter end.

Print the report

WellCollar totals the quarter, builds the report for each well and flags anything missing before you file.

Quarterly reports and the annual disposal fee

Ohio requires a quarterly report for every Class II disposal well and an annual fee on the barrels you take in. WellCollar does both from the same shipment log.

  • Quarterly Report – Class II Disposal Well for each well, printed as a PDF with the shipment list attached
  • Due dates on your dashboard, flagged when a quarter is overdue
  • Annual fee statement: in-district and out-of-district barrels, the cap and owner retention worked out for you
  • Monthly maximum and average pressures filled in from the daily log
  • Pressure log with past state-inspection readings alongside your own

The day-to-day rules, tracked for you

Ohio's Class II operating rule (OAC 1501:9-3-07) asks for far more than four reports a year. Here's what WellCollar keeps on top of.

DutyHow oftenWhat WellCollar does
Injection pressure and volumeEvery operating dayA daily log from the phone, with missing days called out. Each month's maximum and average pressure flow into the quarterly report.
Maximum allowable injection pressureEvery readingStores the permit limit, or works it out from the depth of the injection zone. An over-limit day is flagged with the steps the rule requires before restarting, and repeat exceedances in a year are counted.
Annulus pressure and wellhead checkContinuous / daily while injectingLogged with each day; a non-positive annulus or a wellhead problem is flagged.
Mechanical integrity test (MIT part 1)At least every 5 yearsNext due date, the 24-hour inspector notice and the 30-day results filing, with the test chart attached.
Automatic shut-off device testEvery yearOn the calendar with a reminder before it's due.
Brine pipeline pressure testAt least every 5 yearsNext due date and the 48-hour notice before the division witnesses it.
Surface facility inspectionsOn your scheduleAn inspection log with photos that flags freeboard under 6 inches, stormwater left past 36 hours and solids at 30% of containment.
Brine haulersEvery loadA hauler file with registration and insurance; loads from a hauler not on file, unregistered or with lapsed insurance are flagged.

One system

Your disposal wells and producing wells, together

The water hauled off your leases is the water that shows up at your disposal well. Keep both in the same back office.

Field

Works without signal

Log loads and pressure readings at the well site. WellCollar keeps working offline and syncs when you're back in range.

Compliance

Nothing slips

Report deadlines, inspections, violations and work orders sit next to the injection data they depend on.

Office

Ready for the accountant

Barrels received and fees owed are on record by well and by year, so the numbers match what you filed.

Who built it

Built by an operator that runs its own disposal wells

Green Collar Energy uses WellCollar every day for its producing wells and its two Class II disposal wells in Ohio. The quarterly reports it files come out of these same screens. It was built by a veteran-owned operator for independents who don't have a compliance department.

Questions

Disposal well FAQ

Does it build the Ohio quarterly report?

Yes. It builds the Quarterly Report – Class II Disposal Well for each well from your shipment log and monthly injection data, as a PDF with the shipment list attached.

Does it handle Texas H-10?

It keeps the monthly injection volumes and pressures H-10 asks for and reminds you before each well's due date, which the RRC sets by field.

Does it watch the permit pressure limit?

Yes. Enter the limit from your permit, or the depth of the injection zone and WellCollar works out Ohio's formula. Every daily reading is checked against it.

Does it track MIT and shut-off tests?

Yes. It shows when each test is next due, reminds you to give the inspector notice, and tracks the 30-day results filing after an MIT.

Does it check the brine haulers?

Keep each hauler's state registration and insurance on file. Any load from a hauler that isn't on file, isn't registered or has lapsed insurance shows up on the monthly load check.

Can I use it for only my disposal wells?

Yes. Run Core with the Disposal add-on for just those wells. Most operators add their producing wells too, since that's where the water comes from.
